Like nearly everyone planning to build or remodel a home, we drew a lot of inspiration from Houzz. It is a great resource for design ideas and materials, but there is one big downside – most of the homes featured are multi-million dollar estates. If you plan on recreating a look, you either have to up your budget or try to find creative ways to emulate all those expensive materials. So far we haven’t had much luck emulating and our budget is taking a hit because of it 🙁
