This is where the house will be built

We had Evergreen Surveying come out to our lot to stake the corners of the house in preparation for the forester to mark the trees that need to be removed. It was exciting to finally see where the house will actually be built on the lot. We’ve always known the general area and had a pretty good idea of the location based on the site plan, but it doesn’t seem real until you see it in person. The house fits right beside the rock outcropping that we were worried about. Surely, we’ll still encounter some sizeable rocks in the excavation, but we’re happy the outcropping will be preserved.

The forester will be out next week and once they start removing trees, we’ll get a much better sense of the view we’ll have from our new home. It feels like all the planning over the past 10 months is finally turning into some action!
