We have our first official approved permit from the county that allows us to get started on the land prep. The permitting process itself was fairly painless. Glenn just had to do one round of revisions after the first submittal.  The part that was painful was writing all of the checks to get the actual permit. You’d think there would just be one simple permit fee, instead we had to pay for various parts of the permit fees on three separate occasions in addition to the fees we paid to the fire district and the guarantee escrow deposit that we had to put down to ensure we complete the work correctly. At least those funds are refundable after we pass the final inspection.
